2 places at 1 time.In Reply to: Making partnerships at steps? posted by Shelly on January 30, 2004 at 11:16 AM : Wondering if it is legal to meet someone at the steps and then decide to buy a property together and split the profits? In a situation that a property comes up for sale and a bidder may have just bought another house and does not have enough money, I would hope that it would be legal to ask a fellow bidder that might not have knowledge of the area where the home is located or just "not on this property" but has funds available, to partner the deal and combine funds in order to compete to possibly purchase the property. It gives the smaller guys a chance to compete with the firms with more capital. Also in situations where sales are being conducted at 2 different locations, could a bidder ask a fellow bidder to go to 1 site and the other bidder go to the other site and they attempt to buy both properties as partners. Once again it helps the small guy to compete with firms that have coverage via employess at multiple sites.
