You can mitigate those consequences by attempting to work out a mutually acceptable resolution with your lender. It may make sense for them to accept keys from you as opposed to getting involved in a full blown foreclosure action. Frankly, I don't know how something like this would play out but I'd sure be inclined to attempt working things out. You've probably signed a lease for the lot space. That's likely a totally separate issue here and you may owe there as well. I'd hustle off to an attorney asap and maybe even let him/her handle the negotiations (I'm assuming you're not in the negotiations business). Good luck, Joe Kaiser
