How Do You Choose To Waste Your Time?

The reasons you've outlined are a large part of why I don't bother with door knocking. It was easier to just move to another state with a slower RE market, and attend trustee sales.

Of course, I still waste a lot of time. Not everything that's scheduled for sale, really goes. People get forebearances, or they sell the house, file bankruptcy, and of course... preforeclosure specialists pick off some of the deals. Add to that, all the "wasted" time reasearching titles and specs on properties I decide not to bid on.

I guess I find "research" waste, and "gasoline" waste (driving to the courthouse only to learn a postponement has *just* been agreed to) less frustrating than talking with hard-headed owners.
