Trustee signs the T.D. and Bene signs the note...In Reply to: two trustees? posted by gcastro on January 23, 2004 at 3:18 PM : WArd, I tried to get an equity loan from Washington Mutual bank, on a property that I purchase using the THT, and I wanted to use my mother so that she could be my cossigner, but the loan officer at WA Mutual told me that since my name was the only one, that appeared as trustee of the trust, my mom couldn't cossign for me. The loan officer said that she could cossign if she was added to the deed, as trustee. Is it possible to add her as trustee? Can there be two trustees listed on the deed? =?=?=?=?=?=?=?=?=?=?= Gonzalo, I agree with Lunk that you can easily have two or more co-trustee's for a trust. But I think that you should have said that your mother was a co-beneficiary along with you already, and thus, you both could sign the promissory note and just you sign the trust deed. I do that all the time (where only my trustee signs the trust deed and only I qualify and sign the promissory note).
