: I recorded a Deed at the hall of records, and it has been over 3 months and have never gotten the original back. They say that they must have mailed it to me. But I never got it. Anyways, who knows?! Should I worry about not having the original deed, or is it not really a big deal?

Rick,

You just might check the recorder's records and verify that the Deed was indeed recorded. If it was there's nothing to worry about.
You can always get a certified copy of it from you local title company or from the recorder's office whenever the need arises.
