: Have read section 1695 re home equity purchase contracts. Is there any way to legally complete such a purchase under these requirements. I have heard that there is no bonding available.

=================

Yes Jack, people are doing equity buyouts every day. They buy for their own account, not someone else's and they split the net equity on a 50/50 basis to avoid the unconscionability proscription.

You don't need any bond if you adhere to the above modus operandi.

Hope this helps.
