Doable deals are out there...In Reply to: California preforeclosure purchases posted by Jack on December 03, 2003 at 1:38 PM : Have read section 1695 re home equity purchase contracts. Is there any way to legally complete such a purchase under these requirements. I have heard that there is no bonding available. ================= Yes Jack, people are doing equity buyouts every day. They buy for their own account, not someone else's and they split the net equity on a 50/50 basis to avoid the unconscionability proscription.
