LA Foreclosure NoticesIn Reply to: LA Foreclosure posted by GA South Carolina on October 31, 2003 at 8:14 AM : I am from South Carolina and the laws are different concerning foreclosure there. I am visiting LA and I am trying to figure out how to research the foreclosure process here. In SC all of the foreclosures are posted in the courthouse each month, is there a way to find a list of properties being foreclosed on here in LA? =?=?=?=?=?=?=?=?=?=?= GA, In a trust deed state, such as CA, it's common to start off with the recording of a Notice of Default (NOD). Since that's a recorded document you can elect to go to the recorder's office and look at the daily microfilm record and note all the NOD's you find. Alternatively, you can peruse the same microfilm but look for all the new Notice of Trustee's Sales just recorded, detailing the date, time and location of the upcoming foreclosure auction for the property. You could also subscribe to a local foreclosure notice service that covers the L.A. county area, such as: www.countyrecordsresearch.com
