Foreclosure consultant vs equity purchaser...In Reply to: Difference Between... posted by Chris on October 27, 2003 at 10:14 PM
: Hello Ward, =?=?=?=?=?=?=?=?=?=?= Chris, California Civil Code Section 2945, for all practical purposes, makes practicing as a foreclosure consultant, verboten. So, if you don't accept any advance fees for anything you do for a homeowner in foreclosure, you'll avoid being characterized as a foreclosure consultant and escape all of its negative consequences. CCC Section 1695 deals with some of the paperwork requirements dealing with a homeowner in default and the prohibitions against unconscionable profiteering, etc. You might want to go to the Foreclosure Codes link below and read them first hand. Hope this helps.
