Re: How do I sell the property by myself? In Reply to: How do I sell the property by myself? posted by Need help selling a property in oregon on October 24, 2003 at 10:47 PM : Hello : I bought a property at a foreclosure auction for $150,000 and the Real Market Value is $180,000. I am afraid that I'll not be able to sell it and make some. The property is in NE Portland, Oregon. It's a 1700 sq ft.home with 3 beds and 2 1/2 baths and 2 car garage. : Tell me step my step. What are the procedures on selling on my own without a realtor. : : Hope you can brighted up my day. : Mirela If your state uses an escrow then selling your home yourself is very simple. You can often get your price by calling a local agent for a free Brokers Price Opinion. Just don't let them know you want to list yourself. Once you have the listing price, simple place an ad in the local papers and place a "For Sale by Owner" in the yard. Once you have found your buyer, setup an appointment with a local escrow company. They will be more than happy to help you workout the details, draft the contracts, and take the down payment from the buyer. You can also find many great books on other technics to sell your property at your local book store or amazon.com. Good Luck
