: : Plaintiff LH is awarded a judgment against MS in California small claims court. No abstract has been recorded. MS files BK CH7 two months later. LH is listed on the BK creditor matrix. Years later MS is listed as the owner of real estate in the area. : Phrank, : In CA judgments are good for 10 years. They can be renewed innumerable times, if done so prior to going stale. : If the bankruptcy hasn't eliminated the possibility of recovery, the fact that the original judgment was extinguished by the passage of time sure has. : Hope this helps. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
