Re: How to keep more of my profit.In Reply to: How to keep more of my profit. posted by Sara_CA on October 20, 2003 at 7:19 AM hello dont see that a THT would help you ... if you have gains this year and carried forward the SHORT TERM losses from 2 years ago then i believe they can offset each other - you should be able to do a partial 1031 but then need to comply with the terms of the exchange in purchasing the replacement property - rest assured that this WILL be a learning process for you - dont kick yourslef too much if you later learn that you could have done something better - it is the price of your education based on your post it does not sould like your income is so hich that the slae would give you nosebleed taxes... you can consider selling the house to a friend/ family member at a medium price in order to split the profits into their tax good luck Follow Ups: Post a Followup:
