: Troy, many different trust formats exist. So the first thing to do is make sure you have the applicable Declaration of Trust and then see to it that:

: #1. The declaration is properly filled out, signed and dated by the trustor and trustee.
: #2. The trustor of the trust has transferred some asset(s) into the trust. If the asset is real property, then the property should be transferred into the trust via a recorded deed.
: #3. For privacy reasons, trust declarations themselves are rarely, if ever recorded
