A junior lien can foreclosure without regard of a senior lien

: If I finance someone who owns a property, and that property is being used as collateral. I would be the second lien though. What happens if the owner defaults on her payments to me but not to the senior. How can I try an get my money back if the senior lien has first right.

Enrique,

Every lien, regardless of its priority, can independently initiate a foreclosure for the sole purpose to force collection on just its own indebtedness.
