Rick Harmon or anybody else / probate

Posted by michaela-ATL on September 24, 2003 at 4:06 PM

I have posted on another board and someone suggested for met
to post here to attn. of Rick Harmon.

Anyway, I have been finding abandoned lots, doing the necessary
things to get clear title and flipping them to builders.

I now have one, that's a bigger problem, than any others,
that I've deal with. Have not, yet gone to my probate atty,
since I want to have all my ducks in a row when I do.

The lot was willed to 4 people in '65. All 4 are dead. And
all their spouses and siblings and some of their children
are dead.

Heir A: Dead, Spouse dead, no children, Sibling to B + C
Heir B: Dead, Probate was done and administrators are alive
and willing to deed to me
Heir C: Dead, Had 5 children, of which 2 are alive(1 of them
feeble minded). ! The living relatives are willing
to work with me
Heir D: Dead, A friend, never married, no children. Brother
is dead. Have the address of brother's widow (sister
in law) and am trying to contact her.

What's the best way to deal with this? Can that all be done
with affidavits? Original heirs all died in the 70's and 80's.
Will there have to be different probates for everyonw or can
this somehow combined, if this lot is all everybody owned?
Any suggestions? I'll make 20-30K on it, so it's worth
a little legwork on my part ;-)

thanks

michaela
