Recasting and reshaping to fit your modus operandi...In Reply to: insurance beneficiary posted by gcastro on September 18, 2003 at 8:15 AM
: Ward, on your THT manual, you have a sample insurance letter. The letter, does not specify the seller's intention to change the insurnace beneficiary. Is it becouse it is implied when you say: "we have change the way we hold title to the property...change your records accordingly?" Or should the letter be more specific. Gonzalo, I don’t think you’d classify the quoted statement as implied. It’s as specific as you can get when you say “...please change your records accordingly”. But as you know, anytime you feel something can be better expressed some other way, then test it. And if you like the result then change it for the better. There’s nothing I can think of that can’t be improved upon. Most of the examples in the trust manual are the result of years of trial and error, so feel free to continue the practice of recasting and modifying things to fit you and your way of doing things. Hope this helps.
