Posted by Barry Tanner on September 12, 2003 at 8:27 PM Ward/others, We closed on a property after we were given formal payoff from the Morgage company. (GMAC) (GMAC had just purchased the mortgage from US Bank 1 month earlier.) After closing the payoff was rejected by the mortgage company. They now are stating, 2 weeks later, that the payoff is $6000 short. They said that the earlier payoff they sent us was missing lawyer and 'DLL Servicing' fees.
