Reinstating the 1st...

Posted by Alfred CA on October 09, 2001 at 11:42 PM

Ward,
When reinstating the 1st, are there any guidelines or things one should do other than 1) making a photocopy of the cashier's check for your personal files; and 2) sending the cashier's check to the TTEE with a letter stating exactly what the cashier's check is for?

Also, as second question... the TTEE sale is scheduled for 11:00 am on Oct 15th and we were told that the reinstatement amount we were quoted was only good until the 12th. I just realized that the statutory law says that one can only reinstate up until 5 days prior to the TTEE sale. In this case Oct 8th would be the last day to be able to reinstate. So what is the deal, the TTEE and bene are just not enforcing it?
