the foreclosing party is required to restart the whole process, which includes the NOD filing if a forbearance agreement is entered into.

As it relates to CA specifically, a bene is allowed 3 postponements of a sale by law. If more postponements are needed, then republishing a NOS only is required. Of course, the number of postponements can be altered if the sale is stayed by bankruptcy, a court order, or is mutually agreed to by the trustor and the bene.

Other states have similar mandates as it relates to refiling a NOS if postponements are utilized.
