: Hello,

: I am a new investor also trying to learn the do's and don'ts of Foreclosure investing.

: I have a question related to the Title search.

: Title Search costs a few hundred dollars, also my experience with the Title Search companies is
: that these companies take reasonable time for search (week + ??).

: Are these title searches neccessary ?? is there any *cost - effective* way of doing a
: faster title search.

:
: Thanks in advance for your response...I apologize if this turns out to be
: a silly query .

Qm,

Normally you can order a prelim (title search) from a title company, this takes about 3-5 days if you use a good company. But better than that would be to learn how to do your own title searching. Most counties in the US are on the internet, so if you know anything about title searching you can do alot of the work yourself. Plus title companies are not perfect and in a rara case could miss something. Were as your search could be perfect. A good place to look for help on this topic is this website.
