Rudy:

I, unfortunately, have some experience with bail bonds liens.
So I will jump in on Ward's board. Oh, BTW, bail bonds is a
great, high yield, racket.

Subject to:

You will not get clear title unless the lien is release. To
release the lien you will have to:
1. Change the collateralization of the lien away from the house
property in question. Nominally one may use cash, jewelry,
stocks, bonds, cars, etc...
2. Have the grantor wait out the time before trial in jail.
3. Wait for the grantor to finish trial, pay the 5K and have the
BB agent release.

POW + Incarcerated:

If the grantor becomes Incarcerated, due a lose at trial, you can
pay the 5K to release. Under these conditions the grantor's dependents
may need to find a cheaper place to stay, so the sale may be more
friendly.

New loan:

The BB lien is not really a loan. If you what to you can re-
collateralization, see above.
