Property Line

Posted by Lughead on July 16, 2003 at 10:11 PM

hello

curious situation

a property recently acqired at a trustee sale -

the neighbor came over to notify us that the fence is on her side of the property line

ironically - the trustor has been very kind and helpful and informed me that the fence has been there for about 10 years - prior to the neigghbor's house being built

appearantly there was a survey done and the fence is on her side at on end and too far on our side on the other end - giving us about 9 square feet of extra land !!!

question - at what point in time does the fence sitting where it is with no change for a period of time - constitute that the property line can now be considered where the fence lies??

any suggestions?

appearently the neighbors consensus is that this lady is rather 'strange' -

thank you
Lughead
