: I have seen posts from well meaning individuals that suggest to use a typical insurance agent however I understand that if there is a claim and it is determined the home is vacant or no longer in an actual persons name, the claim will be denied. I have also found that typical insurance companies will cancel policy when a home becomes vacant and they discover as much during the course of their routine inspections, especially if it happens repeatily. : Does anyone know of an insurance agency that writes the type of policy that would be needed by an investment entity that has an inventory of vacant homes. We work the So Cal markets. We have been using LLoyds of London, however the rates are very high in our opinion, especially on higher priced properties. Thank you.
