We want a phone number and/or a current address usually..In Reply to: Accurint...What searches do you use? posted by Angela on July 04, 2003 at 8:10 PM : Ward, : I saw this post and I'm just curious what you use Accurint for and what searches you engage. Looks like a good site but their fee schedule was a little overwhelming - too many choices! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Angela, We use www.accurint.com a lot in our rental business, verifying the past rental places where our rental applicants tell us that they have lived. Some applicants will readily lie about where they have lived before, in order to cover up a bad referral or time spent in jail, etc. Accurint is also very helpful in our foreclosure investment business. It helps us find a missing owner so we can make a deal and buy a pre-sale property before time runs out. Sometimes all we need is a phone number. It also helps us to find the owner of a junior lien that we want to buy at a discount in our “junior bene buyout” activity. I’m amazed you think that Accurint’s fees are overwhelming! We find them the cheapest skip tracing service on the internet. I’m serious! I’d suggest you use their 800 number Monday and call their office and ask to talk with Emily Coulter. She will give you a good overview of the use of their site and then some free time to check out some deals for yourself. Tell her that Ward sent you.
