Sure, I'll fax you some forms tomorrow. In Reply to: POA??? posted by Lughead on July 04, 2003 at 2:03 PM : ward : a buddy of mine got a house at a foreclosure sale - but they will be out of town now for a few weeks and asked if we could change the locks and get rehab underway : we are fine with that - it seems that a power of attorney may be a good idea since we are not on the trustee's deed : do you have a version or site where we could get such a form or is a basic note appropriate - : we just dont want someone causing a stink without us being able to show that we belong there : thanks -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Lunk, There are two catagories of a real estate power of attorney (POA). One is Special and the other is General. The Special version gives you power of attorney over a specific property, whereas the General version gives you power of attorney over ALL of the grantor’s properties. The POA forms are readily available for free from your Customer Service department of your closest title company. I have copies of the different POA’s too. I’ll fax you some examples tomorrow. Nowadays title companies won’t honor a POA if it’s more than a year old. Follow Ups: Post a Followup:
