ForeclosureMy husband purchased a house over 25 years ago, he passed away in 1999, I was never on the title of the house. My husband only had one child, our daughter. I was told by an attorney that as long as I make the mortgage payments when my daughter turns 18 she can sign the house over to me. Well one mortgage company sold out to another and after paying mortgage and property taxes for 2 1/2 years the new mortgage company found out I was never on the title of the house. They are foreclosing, I went to another attorney who stated I could fight for the house but it would be approximately $6000, which I could not afford. I new I was going to lose the house. The attorney states the mortgage company has to give me written notice of when to remove my personal belongs from the house. That never happened, I had surgery in May and was recovering, found out a locksmith came to the house and they changed locks. I would like to know what rights I have to what happened. The mortgage company did remove some of my personal belongs, including a 55 inch television, which after 2 days I did locate. I am a single mother of 5 children, when my husband passed away he had no life insurance, I have been force to pay for everything myself. Please email me back. Thank you Follow Ups: Post a Followup:
