Ask the gal who's going to insure your resale..In Reply to: Redemption or NOT posted by Alex Leonard on June 28, 2003 at 6:07 PM
: I live in a redemption state and purchased rights to home and have subsequently found out IRS has a 9 month right of redemption to property as well (judgement of 24K). If I redeem first can the IRS come in the next 9 months and redeem? Or is there a SINGLE redemption allowed....whoever gets there first gets it? My attorney feels the 24K judgement will not reattache as it went throught the foreclosure process. Any way to sell property before the 9 months? Alex, I don't live in a redemption state. But if I were in you spot I'd stop in at the local title company and ask the senior title officer where I stood. Won't cost you a dime for her sage advice.
