Re: shortsaleIn Reply to: shortsale posted by Sue In Rhode Island on June 28, 2003 at 11:45 AM : I have sent my application to my mortgage co. for a shortsale and they have contacted an inpection co. They would like me to fax a full executed contract and estimated sellers net. I have a buyer for my property an we have agreed on everything. What is the cheapest and fastest way through this sale? can we fill otthese documents ourselves or should I contact a realestate lawyer. Should I contact a realator who deals in short sales? Any info would be appreciated. I recommend that you contact a real estate agent that has alot of experiences with short sales. Most banks seem to have tunnel vision when it comes to short sales. They will not allow you (the seller) to make any profit if they are reducing the amount of debt owed. Also they will be more likely to believe that you really need the short sale and everything is legit if a realtor is involved.
