: I have come accross a listing where the third is in default and a "bail bond" lien is in the second position... how would this play out?

============

The foreclosure of the third would extinguish the third and wipe off the title of the property everything recorded junior in time to the third.

After the foreclosure of the 3rd the winning bidder would take title to the property subject to the 1st and the 2nd.

Trust deeds that secure bail bonds are generally short lived since the bail bond is issued to insure the appearance of a party at an arraingment at the beginning of a criminal trial.

So call the bondsman's office and inquire if the lien still exists. Many times they'll tell you "no", that the 2nd should have been reconveyed long ago.
