It's a dirty little secret, that some of those $300 title searches in a RE closing, are hastily completed in a few minutes by entry-level employees. It's just routine paperwork to them.

I know it's embarrasing to be stumbling around... It took me at least a week to stop feeling like an alien in the records room. But if you keep going back and learning a little more each day, you can pick the essentials.

Just ask people to help you. I did! Sometimes they were too busy to help. Or they didn't know, either. Sometimes I wasn't confident of their advice, and would ask a few more people to back it up.

You can't learn the courthouse if you're not in it. So be there!!
