In my state if the homeowners hold title as joint tenants in entirety and only one is named on the judgement then you don't have to satisfy it to clear title. However, the converse is not true. If only one is on title and the judgement is lodged against both the judgement will stick. This kind of thing tends to be very state specific and I would first check with a reputable title company and then second with a real estate attorney.
