Misalignment of purposeIn Reply to: buy foreclosure from realtor posted by jack dick on May 16, 2003 at 1:14 PM : Hi Ward, : Is it ok to buy foreclosures through realtor who list them? Quite often I see the houses that are going to auction soon still being sold by realtor. According to code 1695.15(?) about the "representive", it sounds it is illegal or something needs to be taken care as an investor to buy foreclosures through listing agents. Could you please tell us more about this? : Thanks a lot, : jack dick ====================== Jack, Investors buy foreclosure property at wholesale value and flip it to a homeowner at retail value. A listing realtor's job is to get the highest price for his selling client, not the lowest. So such a realtor is working at cross purpose to your motivation.
