: : Ward;
: : Am I given to understand that in California, a non-profit entity can purchase tax defalted property several days in advance of an announced County tax sale thereby eliminating having to bid at a tax sale?

Jason:

Perhaps you have misheard. I think what you are referring to is the fact that in most places, city, county, federal, etc. Property is offered to the local government facilities for thier "non-profit" useage before it is offered to the rest of the world of bidders. That may be what you have heard is happening.
