: ward

: if we have a document that was signed and notarized IN the validity date of the notary BUT now is past the expiration of their commisssion - does theat hinder us from recording the document

:
: example

: sign and notarize deed in Nov 2002
: Notary commission expires Dec 2002
: can we record now??

: thanks

Lunk,
You can record. The notary's commission needs to be intact at the time of notarizing a signer's signature, not at the later date of recording the notarized document.
