You don't need additional title insurance.

: We bought our house at public auction 1 yr ago. When we originally financed, we bought title insurance. We are now in the process of re-financing to a lower rate and I was wondering if I need to purchase title insurance again or are we okay now?

Dawn,

Generally you don't need to get title insurance unless you're changing the title to property in some way. A new lender might want to be added to your existing title insurance coverage via an endorsement (that you pay for), but it won't be a new policy.

Hope this helps.
