Some form of schmoozing..In Reply to: Last minute purchase without BK - HOW? posted by Greg on April 27, 2003 at 6:30 PM
: Ward, : Here's the part I can't understand. How are they able to negotiate with the lender at the very last minute? : I would think that if I tried this I might not even to be able to get the right person on the phone in time to stop the sale - yet these guys repeatedly do this within the last 24 hours. : As a test I called one of California's biggest lenders and asked them about how an onwer in foreclosure could make a last minute reinstatement. They discussed many obstacles, and made it sound impossible to the morning of the sale. : Any ideas how this is done? : Greg I would guess your competition has developed personal contacts within the trustee and/or lender middle echelons that can pull the right strings that get things done quickly at the last minute.
