Trying to minimize a Chapter 13 bankruptcy filing.

: I recently called the bankruptsy courts and foudn out that even if you file a emergency petition for chapter 13 and do not follow through with the BK it will still appear on your credit report as a BK. Is there any way to have this removed or to keep it from going on your record if you do not follow through with the BK as you would with the emergency petition.

None that I know of. All you can do is try to ameliorate it by submitting a 100 word explanation of the fact it was only an emergency petition and that you voluntarily withdrew it after just 10 days of the filing.
