Sleuthing thru the records...In Reply to: BK Question posted by John-CA on April 14, 2003 at 6:07 PM : Hi Ward : Got a call from a home owner today. During our conversation he said he wasn't in FC but 30 sec after I got off the phone with him (using the OC records search on-line) it was clear he is. Problem is the trustee sale was supposed to be 2/7 but their hasn't been a sale that I know of. There hasn't been a Trustee's deed recorded yet. So, the first thing I thought was that he was in BK. Sooo...I check PACER and only found a BK that was "closed" last August (2002). This assumes I'm reading the PACER info correctly. What else could have held up the sale or does it take this long to record the Trustee's deed? : jom : PS: I also notice the guy used someone elses SS# in his BK. Is that possible? lol =•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•= John, No, it doesn’t take over two months for the trustee’s deed to be recorded. Call the Trustee’s sale line and key punch in their TS # (trustee’s sale number) and see what their recording reveals about the deal. Next, check the property title record and see what may have been recorded from 2/7 to present. Any rescission of the NOD? Finally run his real SS# through the search in PACER. There just might be two people in PACER with the same name but different SS numbers.
