MN help. Ward

Posted by Barry Tanner on April 11, 2003 at 1:42 PM

Ward,

I am starting to work the pre-forclosures in MN.
I am a licensed Realtor, so my angle is to try and see if I can get them 'out of trouble' by selling their home. (Making me some money and hopefully them.)
My question relates to the Right of Redemption.
For instance, a foreclosure notice hits the papers today (April 11th) and the sheriff auction sale is slated for June 11th. (3 months). After the sale there is a 6 month right of redemption.
What issues do I face (pro-con) if their home is not sold by the June 11th auction date? Can I continue to try and sell the home through the redemption period? or?
Looking for some feedback.
I'm hoping to make enough money so I can start buying some of these pre-foreclosures...there are some good deals out there!
-Barry
