Posted by Ward-CA on July 12, 2011 at 1:15 PM About two weeks ago an investor sent me an article clipped from the Riverside Press-Enterprise about a judge ordering that the Riverside foreclosure auctions have to shift to some other sales location other than their historic courthouse. That news bit sparked a conversation in our offices speculating on how long it would take San Diego to copycat Riverside’s dictum. Boy, monkey see and monkey do! Took no more than about 10 days to pull the plug here in San Diego. Then we started to rack our brains to figure out where Jay and the rat-pack should move. It would have to be a place that’s commodious enough, convenient enough, non- disruptive to the public’s coming and going, and have lots of free parking. With enough head scratching Eric came up with the perfect solution. His idea is that the new auction site should be outside the defunct, non-used EAST entrance to the San Diego County Administrative Center @ 1600 Pacific Highway (bounded on the North by Grape Street and on the South by Ash Street).
