Re: denied accessIn Reply to: denied access posted by bob on September 06, 2010 at 0:58 AM : purchase a condo at a trustee sale recently, when I tried to access through the community gate I was directed to the onsite association office, there I was told by the association attorney that I would be denied access through the gate and to my condo until I had a recorded deed, I thought once you purchased at the trustee sale you legally owned the property Well there is the rub. If you receive the Trustee's Deed within 15 days and record it within 15 days you are considered the owner from the date of Trustee Sale. However, if you do not receive the deed within 15 days and record it after, you are considered the owner on the date of recordation. Therefore, until you have evidence that you are the owner, the HOA is correct in denying access until you have proof.
