Bankruptcy and Re-start of Trustees Sale

Posted by Derek on November 20, 2009 at 6:28 AM

Were in Arizona. I am seeing a lot of properties that are scheduled for auction and then get delayed by a bankruptcy. Instead of the trustee moving forward with the auction after the bankruptcy is discharged or dismissed, they are cancelling the original trustees sale and initiating a brand new trustee sale (same deed of trust, trustee, etc.).

my question is ... is there some sort of legal reason they do this or what are the reasons the trustee would begin the trustee sale from square one instead of just holding the auction after the discharge or dismissal of the bankruptcy?

thanks for your input.
