Yes, I didn't correctly state. The HOA lien stays recorded, but I'm guessing that it just stays enforced against the debtor.

: Those interested in this topic would be well advised to read both Ward's article from several years ago as well as the archived posts discussing this topic (and the Household case, for example) in more detail.

: I'd be concerned that the original poster has a slight misunderstanding of how this works.

: Also, jr liens are wiped off, not out. (Think gum or worse on the bottom of your shoe). Therefore, they're not extinguished debts of the debtor.
