I have to decipher these all the time, however most of my San Diego files have this job already done for me. The obtained the codes for Los Angeles county Superior court many years ago from the probate bonding company that most everyone uses.

If you have no luck online or by visiting one of the local courts, try going to: http://www.bondservices.com/ or even contacting one of their local offices. I think the San Diego office is managed by Jeff Davis. They are most helpful and I've been friends and a client of theirs for many years.
