I want to buy a foreclosure in the Bay Area, CA posted by juniorfiles on May 20, 2002 at 6:47 PM Our area is very expensive and most of the foreclosures out there are due to people getting in over their head during the dot com boom. The additional problem lies in that most of the foreclosure were recenlty purchased, meaning that there is little to no equity in them based on reductions in market prices and the fact that many were purchased with 90+% LTVs. It is going to take a lot of research and quite a while before you find one. I have been doing it a year and am still looking for the right one. I am quite picky though. Better safe than poor. : Hello, I am a 1st time buyer. I live in San Jose, CA. The property is quite expensive. I am interested in gaining knowledge about foreclosures. I see a lot of websites out there, but which is most suitable for me is uncertain. Is there anyone in the Bay Area in a similar position? I am willing to meet with someone or trade e-mails. I don't know where exactly to begin. I really don't want to pay the going rate for a home as it is just too expensive. I understand that this is a business in itself. Can anyone offer some guidance or take the time to help me out. Thanks
