For those that do sell at auction - anyone noticing %?In Reply to: Re: Percentage of FMV paid at Auction these days? posted by Magic on September 21, 2006 at 4:11 PM Friend of mine had a Short Sale rejected by the bank recently. They had offers for a $440K purchase [bank would have to pay commissions, etc.] The property was on the market for 3 months and the BPO's all showed value not higher than $440K. The bank disagreed and the property went to sale recently. Apparently, some one at the auction also felt it was worth more and paid $470K cash (no commissions, etc.) Maybe the invenstor knew something the market hadn't noticed?
