: : I am new to this and need some help.

: : How do I tell if a foreclosed property has other liens against it? I have heard bad stories where newbies buy a house at auction thinking they are getting a deal, but ending having to pay another lien. I don't want to end up like that.

: Billy,

: At the top of the discussion board you'll find a search window that allows you to search through all the past archives for discussions on whatever topic interests you on the subject of foreclosures.

: So type in the words "title record" and 38 messages come up on that search critera.

: If you'll read through most of them you'll have a very good, detailed instruction of how to do a thorough title record search at the recorder's office.

: Hope this helps.
