: I am new to this and need some help.

: How do I tell if a foreclosed property has other liens against it? I have heard bad stories where newbies buy a house at auction thinking they are getting a deal, but ending having to pay another lien. I don't want to end up like that.

Billy,

At the top of the discussion board you'll find a search window that allows you to search through all the past archives for discussions on whatever topic interests you on the subject of foreclosures.

So type in the words "title record" and 38 messages come up on that search critera.

If you'll read through most of them you'll have a very good, detailed instruction of how to do a thorough title record search at the recorder's office.

Hope this helps.
