It's all in the selective advertisingIn Reply to: Dingbat Retirement Plans posted by Tom on April 02, 2002 at 9:40 AM Call some of the nursing homes in your area and ask where they advertise. If you are near a large metropolitan area, somebody will be printing a "senior's guide" publication kind of like the usual "apartment guide" freebies you're used to seeing in the supermarket. You can also try and be a little sneaky. See if the washing room or the recreation area of a seniors only complex has a public bulletin board, and put some fliers there. Look around town for some churches with mostly older congregations. Use the internet to your advantage and post in newsgroups that only old people read. Ward may confirm this-- but I would suspect that after your acquire a few geezers, all it takes is word-of-mouth when you've got a new property available. Old people are generally known "marketing-wise" to be tightwads... and they probably talk to each other a lot about the high cost of housing, and how it just isn't like the good old days.
