Dingbat Retirement PlansLast night at dinner I was telling my wife about an idea I had. Basically the idea is to buy homes and rent them to retirees who no longer want the hassles of home ownership, or wish to downsize, or who really don't want to go into an apartment because they simply like the idea of living in a home. I suggested I could offer a menu of services, like yard care, set 'em up with internet access and teach computer basics, include some occasional errand running for them, etc. This morning I find your article Dingbat Retirment Plans and I about fell out of my chair. Your concept is somewhat along the same lines as what I was discussing last night. With the elderly population getting larger, it seems like a reasonable market. Q: How do you configure your whole approach to renting to this target population without being accused of denying rental opportunities to qualified renters who just happen to be 30 years younger? I appreciate your time. Tom
