: Ward: How much are the various sources you cite? Do you have a preference between them? And, why subscribe to three? Don't they have the same data?

Gary, the quarterly CMDC book is about $440 per year, and the MLS is $126 per quarter and the First American CD-ROM is about $100 per month. The CMDC book is at the top of our list.

We subscribe to the three because their data comes from different sources. The CMDC comes from appraisers’ data, the MLS from real estate agents and 1st American data is based on the county assessor’s data. With three sources we very rarely find ourselves without at least one comp for a property we’re chasing.
